Welcome

Lyndale Elementary School has been a California Distinguished School and has high expectations for all students and staff.  We believe in productive teaching and learning for all students and adults.

Lyndale expects that each individual will be treated with respect and that there will be an appreciation for the diversity of students and parents.

Our goal and primary focus this year will be academic performance with positive behavior and attitude, commitment to the curriculum, and a nurturing environment that is safe and conducive to student achievement and creating a supportive atmosphere with emphasis on the following:

  • Aligning curriculum and instructions to State Standards
  • Establishing multiple measures to analyze and assess students
  • Motivating students to attain grade level and academic achievement through the emphasis on monthly academic goals, additional support, intervention, and high expectations
  • Increasing regular, on-time daily attendance
  • Creating a safe, clean, and orderly school that reflects a climate of trust, caring and inclusion
  • Initiating structured parent involvement programs that include regular communication at many levels
