Welcome

Welcome to Lee Mathson Middle School. We are excited to begin another year at Mathson and happy that you will be a part of it. Mathson is a place where students and staff work hard, “step up”, and always strive for excellence. The word excellence comes from Latin ex meaning from and cellare meaning to rise. The goal of every Mathson student is to rise from where you are. The staff, the administration and all who work before, during, and after school have as their focus helping students meet this goal.

It is necessary, therefore, to remember the following:

There are no excuses.
Always come to school prepared. This means on time, in full uniform, supplies ready, and all homework completed.
It is important to be at school. If you are sick - stay home. If you are tired or late – run to class.
All students have the right to learn and teachers the right to teach. We expect students to be engaged and focused learners remembering that their job is to excel.
Mathson is a family. We are a group of individuals who are strongest when we treat one another with respect, celebrate our uniqueness, and support one another as we move.
