What Makes Us Special?
The words "Believe, Inspire, Respect, Create, Succeed" are etched into the front steps leading to the entrance of Lyndale School; they are the backbone of our school. We have many special programs and activities that reflect these words and support our students' potentials and learning.
Some of these programs include small classroom gardens, weekly art instruction for all classrooms provided by the Community School of Music and Arts, orgainized playground game and leadership activities provided by full time Playworks staff, 3rd grade choir, instrumental music instruction for 4th and 5th graders, choral music instruction for 4th and 5th grades, 4th grade recreation of a Gold Rush town, 5th grade Science Camp, 1st-5th grade after school care provided by the City of San Jose Recreation Department, and mariachi band instruction.
