BOARD VACANCY IN ACCORDANCE WITH CALIFORNIA EDUCATION CODE 5092
A vacancy occurred on the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of the Alum Rock Union Elementary School District (“District”) on December 15, 2018, when Karen Martinez submitted her resignation as a trustee of the District. On February 6, 2019, Corina Herrera-Loera was appointed to be a provisional member of the Board effective on that date.
Unless a petition calling for a special election pursuant to Education Code 5091 is filed in the Office of Santa Clara County Superintendent of Schools at 1290 Ridder Park Dr., San Jose, CA 95131, within 30 days of the date of provisional appointment, it shall become an effective appointment.

Alum Rock Union Elementary School District is seeking applicants to fill vacant positions which currently exist on our Citizen’s Oversight Committee (COC.) The COC is an independent oversight committee comprised of volunteers from within our community. These volunteers are entrusted with and dedicated to ensuring taxpayer dollars approved under Measure G and Measure I are spent according to voter-approved Bond projects.
