On behalf of the Renaissance community, welcome to the Renaissance website.
Renaissance Academy is a college preparatory middle school in the Alum Rock Union Elementary School District. Renaissance teachers are committed to equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, and habits they need to excel in high school, college, and life, and to make the world a better place.
At Renaissance, many systems are in place to prepare our students for college. These include: weekly homework assignments in core classes, a block schedule, midterm exams and final exams, advisory class, and a college-themed cohort system. However, the number one factor that prepares Renaissance students for college is our high expectations of students, teachers, and parents.
We believe that “it takes a village to raise a child”. Students, parents, and teachers work together so that students can achieve their dreams. Students are expected to do their best. Parents are expected to be involved in their child’s education, to know how their child is performing, and to support their child. Teachers and staff are expected to know students’ hearts and minds well so that they can teach students well in multiple ways that engage, motivate, and encourage students.
If you are a parent and want to check your child’s current grades or recent assignment scores, you can click the link to the Home Access Center to log into the grade book.
If you have questions or ideas you would like to share, you are welcome to stop by the Renaissance school site to speak and to visit with our talented and friendly teachers and staff.
