    Welcome to Cesar Chavez Elementary!  It is a great honor to serve as principal of such an amazing and dedicated community of staff, students and families.  At Chavez Elementary, we work in close partnership with families to ensure that every child’s academic and personal/social-emotional needs are met, in order to set all students for lifelong success.

    We pride ourselves in offering a number of opportunities for our students that support their academic and personal success.  Students at Chavez Elementary receive a rigorous instructional program that includes specialization, daily personalized instruction via small group instruction, and we are preparing our student for high demand jobs with computer science solutions utilizing Code to the Future curriculum (Scratch software, Lego Robotics and Mindcraft). We make school more fun while preparing kids for the future!

    In addition, we offer a variety of opportunities including:

    • On site Family Resource Center in partnership with SOMOS Mayfair
    • City Year-Extended Learning Time (after school program for 1st-5th grade students)
    • YMCA Extended Learning Time (before/after school program for TK/Kinder students
