Dear Alum Rock,
The start of the school year this year highlights the qualities of Alum Rock that I’ve fallen in love with throughout my career.
I visited each and every school in our district on the first days of school and everyone was buzzing with positive energy. Students were reconnecting with friends, classrooms were honed in on student learning, and playgrounds were full of laughter.
I’m also incredibly proud of our staff. Teachers and staff were welcoming students back with warmth - opening car doors when students were being dropped off, welcoming parents into their classrooms, and working to get an answer for any question families had. The dedication of our entire team is what makes our district unique.
I also want to thank our parents and families. Your partnership is essential to our success. Whether you attended a back-to-school event or helped your child get ready for their first day, your support makes a real difference.
As we move forward, we'll continue to build on this positive momentum. We are committed to making sure every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. Please continue to stay connected through ParentSquare and your school's website for updates and information.
