Mission Statement
To provide quality, Physical Education instruction to Alum Rock Union School District students that:
- encourages an active lifestyle
- promotes health and wellness
- fosters teamwork and fun both on and off the field
Our dedicated Physical Education staff embody the goals set forth in our mission statement. Our Athletic Directors and Coaches provide a vast array of after-school athletic opportunities to students in ARUSD. Sports offerings include: Cross Country, Track and Field, Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Wrestling, Softball, and Volleyball.
The district also hosts several sport tournaments where all schools play against each other in friendly matches to crown our district champions. Rock the Court is a basketball tournament for middle school players, and Copita is a soccer tournament for elementary and middle school players.
