REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION POLICY
The Alum Rock Union Elementary School District is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and job applicants, (See BP 4032 -- Nondiscrimination in Employment.) The District shall not unlawfully discriminate against employees or job applicants on the basis of physical and mental disabilities. A disabled employee or job applicant may request reasonable accommodation(s) to allow him or her to perform the essential functions of his or her existing or desired job. Upon receipt of such a request, the District shall engage in an interactive process with the employee or the job applicant, as described in the Policy. The District shall endeavor to provide a reasonable accommodation to the employee or applicant unless such accommodation would impose undue hardship on the District.
