Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!
The Alum Rock Union School District Board of Trustees appointed me as your new Superintendent at the September 12, 2024, Regular Board meeting, with my official start date on September 30, 2024. I am truly honored to serve this beautiful district and its community.
This year marks my 29th year in education. I’ve had the privilege of serving in various roles, including as an elementary and middle school teacher, counselor, assistant principal, and principal at both the middle and high school levels. These experiences have shaped my passion for student success, and I am excited to bring my commitment to academic excellence to Alum Rock USD.
As we navigate the challenges ahead, including financial constraints and the consolidation of up to nine schools, I am confident that our collective strength and resilience will help us rise above and create a stronger district. Together, we can reimagine the future of Alum Rock USD and maximize our resources to benefit all students.
This district is a hidden gem, filled with vibrant school communities, talented educators, and inspiring students. I am dedicated to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure that we shine brighter than ever before.
