Summer Learning
Alum Rock Union Elementary School District offers a robust program for Enrolled ARUSD students to continue their learning during the summer. Summer programs typically run for 4 to 6 weeks during June and July and support students’ varying needs. All programs are available to Alum Rock students at no cost and are hosted at district schools. ARUSD is able to provide programming with the support of our teachers, support staff and community partners. Extended year summer programming in Alum Rock takes place during the summer, but we have redefined the “summer school” paradigm to allow for:
- Academic rigor that will ensure all students are prepared to thrive in a diverse and competitive world
- English learner scaffolds that will challenge students to reach and exceed academic proficiency
- Social-emotional components that provide the tools and resources for students to be successful
- Innovative, 21st century-focused themes and environments that engage students and families
- Enrichment Programs to challenge students and provide an opportunity to explore areas of interest.
Summer Dates -June 16th - July 15th, 2025. No school June 19th, June 20th, and July 4th, 2025.
Locations: George, Cureton, Meyer, Cassell.
Times: 8am - 5pm

To register for the 2025 Summer programs, you will receive a text Message from Inplay-A third party partner that ARUSD has contracted inviting your child(ren) to register for several program offerings. A flyer will be sent out via parent square, please make sure you check your emails for further information. First day of Registration begins March 25th, 2025 for students that are in Priority #1-UPP, followed by Priority #2-Academic support on April 1st, and lastly All students will be invited to register by April 15th, 2025. The last day for Registration will be on May 23rd.
